Ireland..you beautiful green piece of God’s finest. I visited Ireland with my brother in August of 2017, and it’s really just as green as you see in the pictures. Below I will include some highlights of the trip!

The first day included wandering the streets of Dublin, which is where we stayed all three nights. It was both of our first time to stay in a hostel, which is all-together a different experience that I would definitely try out again. The Hostel we stayed at is called Jacob’s Inn and I have nothing bad to say about it. We chose the cheapest option, which was a coed room of 6 bunk beds/12 people.

A few tips to keep in mind when looking for a hostel is that it needs to have a place to lock your stuff. Below our beds, we were able to lock our valuables up while we were away. Also it’s nice if your hostel has a common area for people to hang out at, so that if you are traveling solo you have a way to meet people.

We spent the 2nd day checking off some of the tourist attractions we had wanted to go to. Including the Guinness Storehouse, the Trinity College campus, and my favorite was the Kilmainham Gaol.

The last day spent in Ireland was by far the best day. We joined a tour to the Cliffs of Moher. Most of our time that day was spent in a car, but it was worth it for the views we saw. We drove to the cliffs, then up the coast to Galway and then back to Dublin.

There are so many other things I would recommend adding to your list like seeing Irish dancers preform and visiting the Temple Bar area to pub hop. As long as you take the time to see the countryside of Ireland, your trip will be amazing!

Ireland, it was so short but so sweet. I promise to come back to see more of your countryside…after I learn how to drive on the opposite side of the road!
